All schools in Esenler were included in the central security network

According to the statement made by the municipality, an important step has been taken in the district to increase the safety of students at school and around the school.

Within the scope of the "Safe City Esenler Project" carried out by the municipality in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of National Education and the Presidency of Defense Industries, all 70 schools in the district were included in the security network with camera infrastructure.

The aim of the system is to detect any negativities that may occur around the school earlier and to quickly mobilize the relevant security units if necessary.

The project aims to create an integrated security system that covers not only educational institutions but also the entire district. Within the scope of the project, 1291 avenues, streets, parks and educational institutions throughout Esenler were connected to the central security network with camera infrastructure.

With the system that can be monitored through the Esenler Smart City and Disaster Coordination Center, images obtained from different points of the district are transferred to the central system and coordination with police units is ensured when necessary.

In addition to examining the events afterwards, the system is also used to detect possible risks early, increase deterrence and support the work of security units.

Esenler Mayor M. Tevfik Göksu, whose views were included in the statement, noted that the project will make a significant contribution to the safety of students, and that students' education in a safe environment and safe transportation to their schools is a priority for them.

Stating that they have created a strong security network covering the whole of Esenler by using the possibilities of technology, Göksu said, "Thanks to this integration we have implemented, we will minimize crime rates and provide Istanbul with a strong city infrastructure that can quickly intervene in disaster and crisis management processes." he said.
