Protest against Israel in Linz before the Austria-Israel match

Before the Austria-Israel match in the UEFA Nations B League Group 3 football match, demonstrators gathered in the city of Linz, where the match will be played, and protested against Israel.

Demonstrators gathered at the Central Train Station in Linz and chanted "Peace, dignity and justice for all people in Palestine!" and "Football should not be misused to cover up war crimes!" shouted slogans.

The demonstrators demanded the suspension of the European Union-Israel Association Agreement, no arms trade with Israel, and an end to the supply of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engines, firearms and other military equipment.

ACCUSED OF PARTICIPATING IN ISRAEL'S 'GENOCIDE'

In addition, the demonstrators called for the immediate termination of the Austrian Armed Forces' cooperation agreement with Israel.

Demonstrators accused the Austrian government of "being complicit in Israel's genocide in Gaza due to their commercial and military cooperation."

On the other hand, Austrian police took extensive security measures in Linz before the match, which was considered high risk.

It was reported that before the match, another anti-Israeli demonstration would be held around the stadium where the match will be played.

Austria and Israel will face each other in the first match of the UEFA Nations B League 3rd Group this evening at the "Raiffeisen Arena" stadium in Linz.
