Kylian Mbappe injured in the Nations League match against Turkey

Forward and captain of the French national team Kylian Mbappe (27 years old) suffered damage to the tendon of his left knee in the first round match of the Nations League against Turkey. This was reported by Sport24 with reference to the official statement of the national team.

The injury occurred in the 54th minute, when the forward scored the only goal of the match after a pass from Michael Olise. Immediately after the goal, Mbappe began to limp and sought medical help. He tried to continue playing, but soon sat down on the lawn again and grabbed his knee. He was replaced by Désiré Douhet in the 59th minute. France won with a score of 1:0.

Due to the injury, Mbappe will miss the rest of the national team's training camp. He will have to recuperate at Real Madrid. The French national team will have to play three Nations League matches without a captain: with Belgium away on September 28, with Italy at home on October 2 and with Belgium at home on October 5.
