Chen Jing, deputy director of the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, said that Hong Kong is Henan's largest overseas financing platform. Hong Kong capital accounts for about 70% of the province's foreign investment, and Henan enterprises' investment in Hong Kong accounts for more than 40% of Henan's total foreign investment.

"Hong Kong is the largest source of foreign investment in Henan Province, and Henan is the province in the central region with the largest number of companies listed in Hong Kong." Liu Kaixuan, director of Invest Hong Kong, said that in addition to promoting cross-border e-commerce and opportunities in Hong Kong's northern metropolitan area in the early stage, the department is making every effort to promote Hong Kong's advantages as the first choice springboard for mainland enterprises to "go overseas" to Henan.

The "two-way rush" between Henan and Hong Kong is continuing to heat up. In recent years, well-known Henan companies such as Weilong, the “top spicy bar” company, Mixue Bingcheng, a tea beverage company, and Muyuan, a pig breeding company, have come to Hong Kong to “ring the bell.” Catering company Banu International, liquor company Venus Beer, etc. are also rushing into the Hong Kong stock market.

Chen Jing said that in the future, the two places will promote industry docking activities and promote accurate docking of industrial and supply chains. On the one hand, it will attract Hong Kong's financial, technology, green and low-carbon enterprises to settle in Henan; on the other hand, it will promote the construction of an ecosystem to serve Henan enterprises going overseas, and support Henan enterprises going overseas by leveraging Hong Kong's international financial system, legal system and international network advantages.

At the exchange meeting, a number of professionals from Hong Kong provided practical guidance for Henan enterprises to use Hong Kong's professional services to "go overseas" from different perspectives such as financial management and legal practice, helping Henan enterprises to have a clearer understanding of Hong Kong's path to becoming an international service hub.
