Peskov: Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on ships prompted Russia’s response

Attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on ships in the Black Sea provoked a natural response from Russia. Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov spoke about this, RIA Novosti reports.

“The Ukrainian side began to attack our merchant ships, our tankers (...). And of course, this caused response from the Russian Federation,” said the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He recalled that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also hit ships flying the flags of foreign countries, including the United States and Turkey.
