Bahraini Foreign Minister Zeyani criticized Iran's attacks on Gulf countries and Jordan

In his speech on behalf of his country at the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Zeyani drew attention to Iran's attacks on GCC member countries and Jordan in retaliation for the attacks of Israel and the USA.

Stating that the Gulf region is experiencing unprecedented security conditions, Zeyani said, "GCC countries and Jordan were exposed to unprecedented attacks by Iran. These attacks of Iran were against civilian and energy facilities." he said.

Stating that there is no justification for the attacks on the Gulf countries and Jordan, Zeyani stated that the GCC member countries and Jordan were subjected to approximately 7 thousand attacks from Iran.

Pointing out that international law was clearly violated with these attacks, Zeyani said, "In order to restore trust and stability in the region, there is a need to implement international law, not condemnation statements." he said.

Bahraini Foreign Minister Zeyani also accused the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen of threatening ships in the Babulmandeb Strait.

Iran had launched attacks with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles against Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Jordan as of February 28, as part of retaliation for the attacks of the USA and Israel.
