Minister Bolat visited Governor Gökmen Çiçek as part of his contacts in Kayseri and received information about the work in the city. Then, Bolat went to the Metropolitan Municipality and was welcomed by Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç and the staff. During the visit, Büyükkılıç gave information to Bolat about his work. Bolat, who later participated in the "60th Year Industry Night" program organized by Kayseri Chamber of Industry on the occasion of its 60th anniversary, said in his speech that Kayseri was remembered with appreciation for its successes in trade and strength in economy.
Minister Bolat stated that public investments worth 500 billion lira have been made in Kayseri under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the last 23 years, and that the Turkish economy has grown more than 7 times with political stability, economic reforms, correct policies, necessary measures and hard-working management. Pointing out that Türkiye has risen from the 21st largest economy in the world to the 16th largest economy, Bolat said: "We targeted 410 billion dollars of goods and services exports this year. Hopefully, we will achieve this thanks to you and your exports. This year, we have stepped up in exports since April. With the great efforts of our exporters and our policies, measures and supports as the government, we broke monthly records in April, June, July and August. "Hopefully, we will break a monthly record in September. We will exceed our targets by exceeding the target of 282 billion dollars by a few billion dollars by the end of the year. I say these, but I would also like to remind you that while the Turkish industry had 100 units in 2019, it has now reached 130 units. While the industrial production in major European countries was 100 units in 2019, they are striving for 95-98 units by 2025."
"WE SAY EXPORT IS OUR RED LINE"
Minister Bolat emphasized that Türkiye has grown for 24 quarters in 6 consecutive years since Covid, and said, "Export is not just a word. Investment, production, employment, export. That's why we call exports our red line, no matter what." he said. Stating that the government has made sacrifices for the economy, production and industrialists, Bolat said, "We share 60 percent of our total budget with you as export supports. Again, our Central Bank has export rediscount loans, the cost of which is 23.95 percent. We increased the daily limit to 5 billion liras. We thank our Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Central Bank. When we took office, the daily limit was 300 million liras. We are increasing these by working with friends." shared his knowledge. AK Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Elitaş said, "Together with our Minister at the Economy Coordination Board, we are trying to defend all the needs of Türkiye's industry, commerce and tradesmen." he said.
"RECORDS IN EXPORTS WERE ACHIEVED THANKS TO THE SUPPORT"
Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), said, "We demand the removal of credit restrictions, especially for our SMEs. Access to finance must be facilitated. We need additional supports, especially in furniture and textiles. Here, an industrial protection strategy must be prepared to support our producers against unfair and destructive competition from abroad, especially from China. Thanks to our Minister Ömer Bolat, records in exports were achieved thanks to the supports. In this way, our exports of goods and services reached a record level in our history." he said. KAYSO President Mehmet Büyüksimitci said, "Today, we produce in many fields, from furniture to electrical appliances, from cables to textiles, from metal to machinery, from the defense industry to aviation. We export nearly 4 billion dollars to more than 190 countries and provide employment to thousands of people." he said. After the speeches, Minister Bolat and protocol members gave awards to the industrialists.
