Minister Tekin spoke at the "2026-2027 Academic Year Opening Ceremony and the Mass Opening Ceremony of Completed Educational Investments in Ankara" held at Gazi Anatolian High School with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Tekin, who started his speech by thanking President Erdoğan for making education a priority issue of the state, wished that the new academic year would be beneficial to all students and teachers.
Tekin stated that they have brought the state's resources to the most remote corners of Türkiye, that they have made schools one of the strongest doors that establish the future of the nation, and that they have carried the labor and will of teachers to the position they deserve at the center of education.
"WE ARE EFFORTING TO RAISE OUR CHILDREN AS VIRTUOUS GENERATIONS"
Emphasizing that they have opened a path for each student to receive the reward of their efforts and build their own future with their own efforts, Tekin said, "As a matter of fact, with our Turkey Century Education Model, which we have been implementing for 3 years, we strive to raise our children as competent and virtuous generations who are equipped with the science, knowledge and skills of their age and who dedicate their power to truth, justice and goodness." he said.
Tekin continued his words as follows:
"This great vision of the future, which we have been trying to convey for our nation's children for a quarter of a century, has today turned into a tangible truth, embodied in the success of our children and witnessed by the whole world. While almost all countries in the world are regressing in education, our children are proud to be the country that increased their scores the most in the PISA 2025 cycle announced on September 8. This summit we have reached is a great victory crowned with a quarter of a century of effort by a nation that wholeheartedly believes in its own children, patiently and stubbornly removes the obstacles in front of them, and builds its future with its own will, without depending on anyone. On this occasion, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our beloved teachers who have contributed to every line of this success, to our beloved students who never disappoint us with their efforts, and to our entire education family who illuminate the path of their children with love, patience and prayers. May God be pleased with them."
"WE SEE RE-REINFORCEMENT OF OUR BROTHERHOOD LAW AS THE PRIMARY DUTY OF OUR EDUCATION"
Yusuf Tekin stated that they were witnesses of a historical moment that was protected by the determined will of the People's Alliance and the foresight of the nation, under the leadership of President Erdoğan, and that, with the law adopted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, "Terror-free Turkey" was no longer a longing, but turned into a clear direction sealed by the will of the state.
Stating that doing justice to this direction, not leaving peace at the border of legal texts, but enriching it with the content of education, development and the ideal of a common civilization is an honorable responsibility placed on everyone's shoulders, especially the education community, Tekin said, "We know that the real mortar that has kept this beloved nation together as one heart for centuries is the vast and tolerant wisdom that sees differences as a harmonious tune of the same civilization." It is our understanding. "We act in line with this understanding and see it as the primary duty of our education to cleanse the seeds of discord that have been introduced among our nation and to re-enforce our law of brotherhood," he said.
Minister Tekin emphasized that, as required by the duty in question, they will start the new academic year with a theme describing the unity and brotherhood of the nation, and that they have devoted this week to activities and awareness activities on the themes of national unity, brotherhood, democracy and human rights in all schools, and said, "With the special guides we have prepared, we have aimed to keep this consciousness alive in the hearts of our children throughout the year, rather than fitting it into a single week." he said.
"WE PREPARED AND IMPLEMENTED 12 NEW MODULES"
Tekin said, "We brought together many of our stakeholders, from our ancestors to academics, in the workshops we organized under the title 'Contributions of Anatolian wisdom to education'. "As a result of these consultations, we have prepared and implemented 12 new modules under the umbrella of Lifelong Learning so that the children of our Alevi-Bektashi brothers can learn their faith and cultural tradition in a healthy way."
"Türkiye CHALLENGES THE GLOBAL EXPLOITATION ORDER WITH THE DISCOURSE 'THE WORLD IS BIGGER THAN FIVE'"
Minister of National Education Tekin said that the environment of peace and brotherhood established is a harbinger of a great awakening that has effects not only for Türkiye, but also at the regional and global level, and added:
"Turkey, which has regained its qualification as an active, conscious and strong representative of the principles and values of the rich civilization to which it belongs, challenges the global exploitation order with the discourse of 'the world is bigger than five' and claims its regional and historical responsibilities with the vision of 'Turkey is not just Türkiye'. Contrary to the global hypocrites trying to order the world with the claim that it is the most perfect example of human rights and freedoms and democratic values, all the world's citizens are responsible for the construction of a fairer and freer world." We raise the flag of struggle on behalf of the victims and oppressed.
Hopefully, the climate of peace and brotherhood that flourishes in these lands will spread as a hope and a dawn to all the oppressed geographies around us, and our cause of being the voice of truth and peace will reach all humanity with the efforts of this beloved nation. Today, on behalf of my education family, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to your states, who were the pioneers of this historical march that brought this horizon to our nation, fostered brotherhood at home and peace in the world, for relieving more than 40 years of pain with patience, courage and great foresight, and for re-gifting the hope of a peaceful future to this nation.
Tekin also thanked MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who demonstrated an uncompromising will for the unity of the nation, and everyone who devoted their hearts to the cause.
