Fraud attempt in the name of the Demir brothers who disappeared in the sinking ferry

Search efforts are continuing for the missing passengers of the ferry named Filo Jet, which capsized and sank while traveling from Kyrenia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, to Taşucu Port in Mersin.

Demir brothers from Hatay are among those lost in the ferry disaster. The teams continue to search for Mustafa Demir and Mahmut Demir.

The Demir family's wait continues.

The family, who had a hard time with the pain of their brother and sister, experienced the second shock when the names of the Demir brothers were used for fraud.

Stating that fraudsters are trying to trap citizens by sharing account numbers in the name of their brothers, Halil Demir said, "They use people's good will for evil purposes, there is no need for such a thing. I want to call out to all of Türkiye, please do not trust these fraudsters." he said.

Explaining that aid was collected using the names of the missing brothers, İbrahim Demir said, "We have not received our bodies yet, fraudsters are collecting money from people. No one should trust them." he said.
