In the city of Aleysk, Altai Territory, on Monday night there was a fire in a private house, in which a mother and her three children died.

The preliminary cause of the fire is a violation of safety rules when operating stove heating.

BARNAUL, September 28 – RIA Novosti. A faulty stove could have caused a fire in the city of Aleysk in the Altai Territory, in which a mother and her three children died, RIA Novosti was told by the Russian Regional Investigation Department.

The fire occurred on Monday night in a private house in Aleysk. During the fire extinguishing, the bodies of the owner of the house and three children born in 2013, 2014 and 2016 were discovered. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence to two or more persons).

“The preliminary cause of the fire is a violation of safety rules when operating stove heating,” the SUSC reported.

The department noted that the dead were a mother with many children and her children.
