Wu Peng learned in detail about the safety and legal compliance of overseas businessmen, and pointed out that demonstrations and other protests against foreigners have recently occurred in many places in South Africa. The safety risks of overseas Chinese businessmen are high, and some of them have been affected. Overseas Chinese should pay close attention to the development of the situation and early warning information, effectively strengthen safety precautions, operate strictly in accordance with laws and regulations, especially legal work and employment, maintain good community relations, and take hedging measures such as closing stores and suspending work when necessary to ensure the safety of people and property. Overseas Chinese organizations in various places should actively play their role in strengthening risk warnings, inspections and supervision, and mutual assistance. The embassy and consulates will continue to make every effort to safeguard everyone's safety and legitimate rights and interests.
