BIST 100 days started flat

BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day with a horizontal trend at 12,885.57 points.

BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sales-oriented trend yesterday, finished the day at 12,888.33 points, losing 2.74 percent of its value.

The index dropped to 12,885.57 points at the opening today, with a decrease of 2.76 points and 0.02 percent compared to the previous closing. While the banking index increased by 0.72 percent, the holding index lost 1.32 percent.

Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was transportation with 0.98 percent, and the one that decreased the most was financial leasing factoring with 8.34 percent.

IN MARKETS, EYES ON US DATA

Global markets started to recover as expectations of a new agreement in the Middle East eased concerns about energy supply and the selling wave in bond markets calmed down.

On the other hand, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his assessment of the fund investigations, said, "Our judiciary launched a comprehensive investigation in the same way, and there were some detentions and arrests. I would like this to be known. Whoever is responsible will be held accountable before the law." he said.

Analysts stated that the data agenda is calm in the country today, while durable goods orders in the USA, Michigan consumer confidence index and inflation expectations will be followed abroad, and noted that technically, 12,700 and 12,600 points in the BIST 100 index are support and 13,000 and 13,100 points are resistance.
