Netanyahu protest at the UN: Dozens of countries walked out of the General Assembly

According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the footage of the UN 81st General Assembly, the UN delegations of dozens of countries reacted to Israel's genocide in Gaza and its continued attacks despite the ceasefire, its exile and land grabs of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, and its attacks on Syria and Lebanon.

Representatives of nearly 70 countries from around the world protested the Israeli Prime Minister by leaving the General Assembly after Netanyahu took the podium or not coming to the hall at all.

Some countries preferred to send a message to Netanyahu by leaving their young diplomats or a single person in their desks.

On the other hand, it was noteworthy that some country representatives preferred to listen to Netanyahu's speech in the hall, despite Israel's violation of international law in the region and an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court on charges of "war crimes and crimes against humanity".

These countries included the USA, which never withheld its support from Israel after October 7, 2023, Greece, which deepened its strategic defense, energy and economic relations with Tel Aviv, Slovenia, Colombia, Venezuela, which adopted a pro-Israeli attitude after the recent change of administration, and Germany, Argentina, Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic, which traditionally maintained its strong support for Israel.

It was noteworthy that the Chinese mission, which in its traditional foreign policy opposes Israel's practices in the occupied West Bank and Gaza, was represented in the hall, albeit by one person.

It was noteworthy that representatives of the UK, France, Ireland, Belgium, Norway and the European Union, who have recently witnessed diplomatic crises with Tel Aviv, also stayed in the hall.
