Ukraine has opened two-year boarding schools for children of killed and captured military personnel

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has opened two-year boarding schools for children of captured or killed military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by The Washington Post.

As WP writes, 475 cadets began studying in such institutions across the country. Journalists visited a boarding school where 150 students study, 48 of them girls. Students learn first aid: applying tourniquets and dressings to wounds, and the boarding curriculum also includes drone detection and civil defense.

“Whichever direction they choose, this educational institution sends them into the “funnel” of the Ukrainian security services, desperate for recruits,” the publication says.

As journalists note, the children of fallen Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers understand that their parents died at the front, but still want to go to the front line.
