North Chungcheong Province operates environment and forest emergency response system during Chuseok holiday

First, we will prepare a comprehensive plan for household waste during the holidays and operate a special collection system situation team. We will also reduce the generation of unnecessary waste by intensively checking whether holiday gift sets are overpacked and labeled for separate discharge.

In order to prevent environmental pollution, special crackdowns will be carried out from the 18th to the 8th of next month targeting areas with concentrated factories such as industrial complexes, major rivers, and businesses that emit large amounts of pollutants.

Prior guidance and self-inspection will be encouraged for target businesses before the holidays, and intensive crackdowns will be carried out on businesses at risk of environmental pollution accidents.

Additionally, during the holiday season, we operate an environmental pollution accident situation room to quickly respond to accidents. The environmental pollution reporting counter (☎ 128) is open 24 hours a day.

We conduct preliminary inspections of 18 local water supply and purification plants, 1,261 small water facilities, and 362 public sewage treatment facilities, and secure emergency water supply equipment and emergency recovery materials in advance to prepare for unexpected situations.

In addition, through the Wildfire Prevention Countermeasures Headquarters, we are preparing for the increase in the number of people entering the mountain and visiting graves during the Chuseok holiday, and strengthening advance guidance and promotion of the reporting system, such as posting banners.
