Russia targets Ukrainian cargo ships loaded with weapons in the Black Sea

The Ministry reported, in a statement, that during the day, a naval cargo ship loaded with weapons and ammunition for Ukraine, and another ship transporting military and technical equipment, were hit in the waters of the Black Sea, by attack drones.

These strikes target Ukrainian military infrastructure, including energy centers, ports, and logistical centers used by Kiev forces, with the aim of weakening defensive capabilities and disrupting the enemy’s military supply lines, especially in light of the continued flow of Western weapons to Ukraine through sea and land corridors.

The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously announced the targeting of the ports of Odessa and Mykolaiv, weapons depots and drone assembly centers in Kiev. This escalation has increased pressure on the eastern and southern fronts, as Russian forces continue to advance on the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk axis, and at the same time, Ukraine suffers from a severe lack of air defenses.
