President Lee said, โReform does not happen automatically by impeaching an anti-people president and electing a new president. Impeachment only prevented regression and downfall, and electing a new president is not the end of reform, but the beginning.โ
He continued, "Reform must also have a driving force, and the driving force comes from the people," and "It is difficult to expect that people who use reform as a means of pursuing private interests or groups that lose vested rights through reform will help reform or support and support the reform agent."
He also cited former President Kim Dae-jung's saying, "Conscience without action is on the side of evil," and pointed out, "There are many cases where a minority with malicious intent but who act in a disciplined and organized manner controls the good but dispersed majority."
He then urged, โWe must go through it on our own, just as we went through it on our own.โ
Specifically, he emphasized, "We must constantly reflect so that we do not blindly follow the information given, closing our eyes and ears," and "In order to prevent our good intentions from being used and abused to make money for others, we must not be lazy in acquiring information on our own and thinking critically."

However, President Lee said, "If it degenerates into a dirty fight, there is no meaning in who comes first. There are forces that deliberately encourage low-quality fights," and also urged, "Let us respond confidently to lies, abusive language, and slander with dignified and reasonable criticism."
In particular, he emphasized, โLet us go on with integrity, even if they come out in a low-quality way, so that the people watching can evaluate them. They fight for private interests, but we are warriors of light who fight for a better future for the country and a better life for the people.โ
At the same time, he appealed once again, saying, โThe publicโs interest and encouragement, especially the participation and action of โfriends of the President,โ are essential,โ and โI believe they will join us.โ
As President Lee returns to Korea today after completing a trip to the United States and Mexico, it is interpreted that he requested active 'support' from his supporters before solving formidable domestic challenges such as follow-up reorganization and reform of the cabinet and staff, follow-up work on prosecutorial reform such as the launch of the Serious Crimes Investigation Office and the Public Prosecution Office, and resolving conflicts among supporters of the ruling party.
