Zhang Qin’s three children are currently in the United States. The eldest is married and has two daughters aged 10 and 5. Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the children would make a video call to ask if Grandma had barbecued meat. She would also prepare grapefruits and mooncakes for the occasion. In the past, when I was young, I had to fly to the United States twice a year to visit my children, but now I laugh and say, "Flying is so tiring, I just want them to fly back during the holidays." This year, I made a special appointment with my Japanese daughter-in-law, and the whole family went to Osaka, Japan for a reunion.
