Caivano, Pietro Loffredo's children stolen: the lawyers' appeal

"No phone calls, no contact with the children, no possibility even to reassure them: the State has separated these children from their parents and for two days there has been a total separation." This is what the lawyers Angelo and Sergio Pisani, lawyers of Pietro Loffredo (father of Fortuna, the little girl raped and killed in the Parco Verde di Caivano, in the province of Naples, in 2014) and of his partner from whom the three minor children were stolen in Lanciano, said.

"For a mother and a father - they underline - experiencing a similar situation is perceived as a kidnapping carried out by a ruthless gang, with a fundamental difference: here it is the State that acts, and precisely for this reason every act must be transparent, motivated and subject to the law. We are talking about a father who has already suffered the tragedy of the death of his daughter Fortuna Loffredo. After that tragedy he had sought refuge in Lanciano with his family. What are we doing to this man? What are we doing to these children? We cannot accept - they point out the two lawyers - that silence has fallen on this matter. We must rise up civilly in front of these cases so that the institutions fully respect the law, the dignity of people and above all children".

"We ask for immediate intervention from the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and an urgent meeting", conclude Angelo and Sergio Pisani.
