Senate candidate Maguinha Malta does not attend the live interview on TV Gazeta

Candidate Maguinha Malta (PL) did not attend the live interview on TV Gazeta, this Friday (26). It would end the series of hearings with candidates for the Senate from Espírito Santo. (See below the questions that would be asked)

Maguinha's office confirmed the candidate's presence, but later informed that she would not participate in the interview.

Advertiser, Maguinha Malta has been a member of the PL since 2011 and is contesting her first election.

Since Monday (21), TV Gazeta has been carrying out a series of interviews with the main candidates for the Senate on Bom Dia ES. The hearings are also broadcast on g1 and Globoplay.

On Monday, the interviewee was Renato Casagrande (PSB). On Tuesday (22), Serginho Meneguelli (PSD); on Wednesday (23), Fabiano Contarato (PT); and, on Thursday (24), Rose de Freitas (MDB).

Criteria to participate

According to the rules defined for the series, candidates who had 5% or more of voting intentions in the most recent survey by the Quaest institute commissioned by TV Gazeta and who were also among the top five in the survey were invited.

The order of the interviews followed the position of the candidates in the research: the first placed candidate was interviewed first, and so on.

Each candidate would have a 30-minute live interview, plus one minute for final considerations.

Candidates Evair de Melo (Republicans), Rodney Miranda (PRTB), Professor Fabian (Psol) and Leonardo Monjardim (Novo) did not reach 5% of voting intentions in the last Quaest survey and were also not among the top five, as established by the rules signed by all candidates.

Therefore, the rules for them are different, as previously agreed. They were entitled to a two-minute interview, plus one minute of final considerations. The interviews were recorded on Friday (18) and shown on Tuesday (22) and Wednesday (23), in full, without cutting or editing.

How do you intend to work in the Senate to guarantee support for children and women victims of rape?

The duplication and maintenance of highways, such as BR-262, are historical demands of Espírito Santo. What is your plan to ensure these works finally get off the ground?

Magda Santos Malta, known as Maguinha Malta, was born in Vitória, in 1983. She is a publicist, daughter of senator Magno Malta and Kátia Santos. He was the lead singer of the gospel band Tempero do Mundo. In 2026, he will contest his first election, seeking a seat in the Senate.
