Candidate for the government of Paraíba defends regional minimum wage and industrialization by public companies

The candidate for the government of Paraíba by the Popular Unity (UP), Yuri Ezequiel, defended the approval of a regional minimum wage for workers in the state. The candidate spoke about the proposal during an interview with TV Cabo Branco.

"We defend a regional minimum wage for the State of Paraíba, which allows for a 100% salary adjustment and the end of the 6x1 scale. Because today, workers in Paraíba still live on emergency aid from our State, such as Bolsa Família."

During the interview, the candidate also defended industrialization through public companies in the state to encourage the creation of formal jobs.

"It is necessary to have a strong policy of public companies that industrialize the State of Paraíba. It is necessary that we have worker cooperatives to divide the profit from production among the workers. This way, it is possible to increase the income of workers. But, for this, the State has to promote, from a public bank of the State (...) the return of Paraibã and tax incentives, so that, in fact, we have this policy in our State".
