CBS Poll: 73% of US Voters Attribute Midterm Elections to Donald Trump

73% of likely US voters believe that participation in the midterm elections is related to the personality of Donald Trump.

In November, the United States will elect a new House of Representatives and determine the fate of 33 seats in the Senate.

Trump has promised to pay every adult US citizen a dividend of $5,000 if Republicans gain control of both houses of Congress.

MOSCOW, September 13 - RIA Novosti. US President Donald Trump is encouraging turnout in the midterm elections to the US Congress - 73% of likely voters believe that participation in the elections is directly related to the personality of the head of the White House, according to a CBS survey.

In November, the United States will elect a new House of Representatives, as well as determine the fate of 33 seats in the Senate. Republicans now control both houses of Congress.

According to CBS estimates, 73% of likely voters believe that the congressional election is essentially an election for or against Trump, and only 27% of respondents say that they do not directly associate this election with support or disapproval of the American leader.

The poll was conducted September 8-11 among 2,460 American likely voters. The margin of error is 2.3 percentage points.
