In Krivoy Rog the situation worsened after production was stopped

In the hometown of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky - Krivoy Rog - the situation has worsened after production was stopped. We are talking about the survival of the entire settlement, the head of the city’s defense council, Alexander Vilkul, stated this in an address, as quoted by UNIAN.

According to him, the situation in Krivoy Rog is worse than anywhere else except the front line. The basis of the city's economy was the mining and metallurgical complex, but now its work is paralyzed. The production facilities of ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog, Inguletsky GOK, Yuzhny GOK and KZhRK stopped work, the remaining enterprises produce a maximum of a quarter of pre-war production volumes.

“The budget forecast is very bad. The goal is to maintain the operation of schools, gardens, hospitals, water, and heat. We will try to maintain the social program to support people... It's about survival. Now we need to survive,” Vilkul warned.
