A girl injured as a result of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the village of Tavrovo in the Belgorod region was successfully operated on.

A team of doctors removed three fragments, performed plastic surgery on the damaged facial artery and treated the wounds.

Now the girl is in the intensive care unit under the supervision of specialists.

MOSCOW, July 10 - RIA Novosti. The girl, who was injured as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a shopping center in the Belgorod region, was successfully operated on and is in the intensive care unit; additional surgical treatment is not required, the press service of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital (RDCH) of the Russian Ministry of Health told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, acting head of the region Alexander Shuvaev reported that a man was killed and six more people, including a minor, were injured as a result of drone strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Tavrovo, Belgorod region. The press service of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital reported to RIA Novosti on Thursday that the girl was taken to Moscow for treatment, her condition is serious, she is on a ventilator.

“A seventeen-year-old girl, wounded as a result of a drone attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) on the village of Tavrovo, Belgorod Region, and hospitalized yesterday at the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital, successfully underwent surgery,” the press service reported.

They clarified that a multidisciplinary team consisting of vascular and reconstructive plastic surgeons performed surgery in two stages.

“We removed three fragments, performed plastic surgery on the damaged facial artery, and treated the wounds. The operation was completed successfully, now the patient does not require additional surgical treatment,” said Anton Narbutov, deputy chief physician of the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital for surgical work.
