Minister of Environment Murat Kurum Announced that Over 200 Million Packaging Was Collected with the DOA System

Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, announced that more than 200 million beverage packages were collected and recycled between July 1 and September 5 with the Depository Packaging (DOA) system.

In his post on his social media account, Minister Kurum said, "We do not throw away. We collect, recycle, and contribute to the environment and the economy. We collected 200 million packages with DOA and recycled them. Just like Zero Waste, DOA awareness will continue to grow in waves." According to the data shared by the Authority, 205 million 709 thousand 303 PET, aluminum and glass beverage packages with the DOA logo were collected by the DOA system, whose national integration process started on July 1 throughout Turkey, until September 5. The number of users registered in the system reached 3 million 214 thousand 992.
