[Reporter Wang Yihong/Report from Taipei] Hanxiang held a contract exchange ceremony with Canadian aerospace group Bombardier today and officially concluded a Strategic Cooperation Agreement (STA) for the Challenger 3500 business jet (CL3500) cockpit and forward fuselage structural components. Hanxiang pointed out that after two years of hard work on this case, the technical review was completed in April this year, and the 20-year full-life contract with Bombardier was finally officially obtained. This is a big step forward for Hanxiang's civil career, and it is also a key milestone.
Today's ceremony was completed by Cao Jinping, Chairman of Hanxiang, and Eric Filion, Bombardier's Executive Vice President of Projects and Supply Chain. The contract exchange ceremony was completed in the presence of Economic Minister Gong Mingxin, representatives of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, and many distinguished guests.

Gong Mingxin said that currently is the moment of supply chain reorganization, and countries around the world are looking for reliable supply chains. Hanxiang has implemented the manufacturing of CL3500 rear fuselages in the past and has also completed the milestone of 1,000 aircraft. It is Bombardier’s best supply chain partner and also represents Taiwan’s ability to perform the assembly and manufacturing of medium and large civil aviation fuselages. The MIT manufacturing brand allows international partners to gain trust.
The CL3500 is a super-midsize business jet and is the best-selling model in the world. Hanxiang has been involved in this aircraft project since 1999 and is responsible for the design and manufacturing of the rear fuselage structural components. To date, it has delivered more than a thousand rear fuselages. During this period, Bombardier awarded Hanxiang the "Diamond Supplier" award many times, representing the original manufacturer's highest rating for Hanxiang's contract performance capabilities and product quality. This time, the cockpit and front fuselage work packages were obtained again, and the scope of the contract extended from the rear section of the fuselage to the front section, making Hanxiang a global center for the production of this aircraft type.
Hanxiang pointed out that the forward fuselage is the section with the highest technical threshold of the airframe. It not only has a complex appearance and must meet cabin pressure and airtightness requirements, but also integrates the cockpit structure, passenger doors and a large number of system interfaces. There are very few suppliers in the world with this capability.
Eric Filion, Bombardier's executive vice president, said that Hanxiang has been an important supplier to Bombardier for many years. This agreement reflects the long-term and stable cooperative relationship between the two parties, and they will continue to cooperate with qualified suppliers around the world to meet customers' expectations for quality, performance and reliability.
In terms of the domestic supply chain, Hanxiang has established cooperation with local suppliers such as Zhulong Precision, a Taiwanese machine parts cooperative, and plans to incorporate the machined parts in this case into the domestic supply system. Through the joint participation of domestic manufacturers in this major international project, it is expected to enhance the manufacturing capabilities and supply chain resilience of Taiwan's aerospace industry.
Hanxiang emphasized that the company's civil business takes "deepening existing customers and expanding the level of work packages" as its core strategy, moving from parts manufacturing to the integration of sub-assemblies and large-scale structural components. This cooperation with Bombardier will provide the company with long-term and stable operating momentum and continue to move towards the goal of becoming an international first-class airframe structure supplier.
