Russian scientists are preparing for experiments with lunar soil with Chang'e-6

Russian scientists are preparing to experiment with soil samples from the far side of the Moon. RIA Novosti learned about this from the leading engineer, coordinator of international projects at the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN) Dmitry Zarubin.

“Samples [from the Chinese station] Chang'e-6 were recently received, preparations for experiments are underway. The main thing here is not to rush and prepare all the necessary equipment and techniques,” the specialist said.

In June 2024, Bian Zhigang, deputy director of the Chinese National Space Administration, called Chang'e-6 China's most advanced lunar exploration mission in terms of technology.
