The TOEFL University Pathway Scholarship program supports Vietnamese students in refunding the TOEFL iBT exam fee

The TOEFL University Pathway Scholarship accepts applications from August 6, providing the opportunity to refund TOEFL iBT exam fees for 11th and 12th grade students in Vietnam.

In the context of many universities expanding admission methods using international foreign language certificates, assessing English proficiency from high school level helps students have more time to determine their level and build a suitable learning path.

For students in grades 11 and 12, participating in an internationally standardized English exam can also be a preparation step for completing domestic or international university applications. The TOEFL iBT test evaluates the ability to use English in an academic environment, thereby helping learners identify their strengths and skills that need to continue to improve.

In order to support students to proactively prepare for this journey, ETS - the owner and developer of the TOEFL test - launches the TOEFL University Pathway Scholarship program for 11th and 12th grade students studying in Vietnam. The program accepts applications from August 6 to October 31, with a maximum of 20 places for early approval.

Applicants need to complete registration according to program requirements, take the official TOEFL iBT exam during the program and achieve a minimum of 4.5/6 points. Approved candidates have the opportunity to receive a 100% refund of the TOEFL iBT exam fee, up to 182 USD (about 4.8 million VND), and are encouraged to send official TOEFL iBT scores to participating universities through the TOEFL DI Code.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Viet Chuong, TOEFL iBT market development director in Southeast Asia, said the program is expected to not only support students in terms of costs but also encourage them to experience internationally standardized tests, thereby proactively assessing their abilities and preparing for university admission plans.

The program also encourages applicants to submit official TOEFL iBT scores to at least one participating university through the corresponding TOEFL DI Code. This can help students proactively integrate English proficiency assessment results into the college application preparation process.

Through the TOEFL University Pathway Scholarship, 11th and 12th grade students in Vietnam have more opportunities to access the TOEFL iBT test with fee support, and can use the assessment results as part of the preparation process for study plans and university admission.
