Conmebol defines dates and times for the Copa Libertadores 2025 semi-finals

The dates and times of the Copa Libertadores da América semifinals were defined this Monday (21) by Conmebol. The first duel will be between Fluminense and Palmeiras on October 14th (a Wednesday), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. The following day, at the same time, Estudiantes (Argentina) receives Flamengo, in a location still to be determined.

The return games will take place the following week. Verdão will decide the place in a clash against Rio's Tricolor at Nubank Parque, in São Paulo, on October 21st, at 9:30 pm. The following day, it will be Flamengo's turn to duel against Estudiantes at Maracanã, also at 9:30 pm.

The teams that advance to the final will receive a prize of US$7 million (approximately R$36 million). The title decision will be on November 28th at the Centenário Stadium, in Montevideo (Uruguay). Whoever wins will lift the cup and will be awarded US$25 million (R$129 million). The runner-up will receive US$7 million (R$36 million).

In the last five years, only Brazilian teams have decided the Libertadores cup, with the exception of the 2023 final, when Fluminense won the title after beating Boca Juniors (Argentina). In 2020, Palmeiras were champions with a victory over Santos. The following year, Verdão lifted the cup again by beating Flamengo. In 2022, Flamengo was champion after beating Athletico-PR in the final. In 2024, Botafogo won the unprecedented title by beating Atlético-MG. Last year, Flamengo won its fourth Libertadores title by defeating Palmeiras.
