FPF draws groups for the fourth edition of Copinha F with three newcomers

The São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) drew, this Wednesday (23), the groups for the fourth edition of Copinha F, the women's version of the Copa São Paulo, the biggest grassroots competition in the country. The ceremony took place in an event house in Vila Leopoldina, west of the capital of São Paulo. The under-20 tournament will be broadcast on TV Brasil.

The championship will be played between November 24th and December 12th, with 20 clubs from all regions of the country. The decision will be at Canindé, which was also the stage for the first Copinha F final, in 2023, won by Flamengo. In the last two editions, the champion was known at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu. In 2024, Fluminense lifted the trophy. Last year, Rubro-Negro won two.

For 2026, there are three newcomers: Vasco, Tarumã-AM and Ação-MT. The teams were drawn into five groups of four, based in different stadiums in São Paulo. The winners of each, plus the three best runners-up, advance to the quarterfinals.

Defined keys

The keys are named after iconic points in the capital of São Paulo. Group A, for example, makes reference to the São Paulo Museum of Art (Masp) and emerges as having the most classics in the first phase, bringing together Palmeiras, Flamengo, Vasco and Tarumã. The games will be at Canindé.

Alviverde's arch-rival, Corinthians is in Group B, which pays homage to Copan, one of the most important buildings in São Paulo, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer. The bracket will also include Red Bull Bragantino, Atlético-MG and Ação, with the matches at the Nicolau Alayon Stadium.

Ibirapuera Park names Group C, based at the Centro Esportivo, Recreativo e Educativo do Trabalhador (Ceret), which is located in Tatuapé, a neighborhood in the east of the city. The members are: Ferroviária, Centro Olímpico, Grêmio and Aliança-GO.

Group D, with games at Arena Ibrachina, located in Mooca, also in the east zone, represents Mercadão, as the famous São Paulo Municipal Market is known. The bracket includes São Paulo, Fluminense, Vitória and Criciúma.

Group E takes its name from the Cantareira State Park, which has one of the largest urban areas of preserved Atlantic Forest in the world. Ceret will be the stage for disputes between Santos, Botafogo, Internacional and Sport.
