Yankees come back to beat Twins, Judge returns from injury with first home run to help team enter playoffs

[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] Yankees MVP star "Judge" Aaron Judge hit a three-pointer in the 8th inning today. This was his first hit after returning from injury, helping the Stripes score 6 points in a single inning. In the end, the Yankees defeated the Twins 8-3 on the road.

The Yankees got the lead in the first inning thanks to José Caballero's hit. Twins batter Emmanuel Rodriguez hit a triple with 2 RBIs in the 6th inning. After the first 7 innings, the Yankees trailed 1-2.

In the 8th inning, the Yankees counterattacked. Caballero and Rice hit timely hits and scored 3 points to lead the score. Then Judge hit a three-pointer from left field and the Yankees scored 6 points in a single inning. Twins slugger Josh Bell hit a hit to chase a run in the 8th inning, and Yankees catcher Austin Wells responded with a hit in the 9th inning. In the end, the Yankees came back and won 2 games in a row.

Judge had 4 hits and 1 hit in the game, including a three-pointer and two strikeouts. This was his 18th hit of the season. His post-game batting average was 0.243, and his overall offensive index (OPS) was 0.878.

The Yankees won and the Blue Jays lost to the Tigers. This was the ninth time in the past 10 years that the Yankees have advanced to the playoffs. They are still ranked first in the American League wild card with 87 wins and 63 losses.
