Drone alarm near the house of the Danish Minister of Defense

In Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, the police launched an operation after a drone was found in the villa neighborhood in the Gladsaxe region, where Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus lives. While some streets were closed to traffic, bomb disposal teams and a remote-controlled bomb disposal vehicle were dispatched to the area, and residents of the neighborhood were asked not to leave their homes.

LARGE SECURITY MEASURES IN THE REGION

Security measures were taken in Gladsaxe, near Copenhagen, in the area where Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus' house is located, following a drone tip.

Police cordoned off parts of the neighborhood to investigate a "suspicious situation." While several streets were closed to traffic, residents were asked to stay in their homes.

EOD ammunition disposal experts from the Danish Armed Forces were also sent to the region for inspection. A remote-controlled bomb disposal vehicle was also brought to the scene.

IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE DRONE WAS FOR HOBBY PURPOSES

After extensive investigation, Copenhagen West Police announced that the drone that caused the alarm was a device used for hobby purposes.

The police announced that it was determined that the drone did not pose any danger and that residents of the area were not at risk.

"It was a hobby drone that was considered non-dangerous and there was no danger to the residents of the area. We are about to complete our investigations at the scene. As always, the incident will be investigated in more detail."

Following the statement, bomb disposal teams left the area and some barricades set up for security purposes began to be removed.

MINISTER BRUUS: EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL

Minister of Defense Jeppe Bruus, in his statement after the incident, confirmed that there was intense police activity around his house in the morning.

In his post on he said.

Stating that it was determined that the drone was for hobby purposes, Bruus said, "I can inform you that this is a hobby drone and everything is under control. The police are now gathering again. Everyone can be safe."

According to BT, several streets were closed to traffic and neighbors were asked to stay in their homes due to the incident.
