DPP Xinzhuang District Councilors use joint campaign to allocate votes to impact the election situation

The Democratic Progressive Party's candidates for Xinzhuang District Council have nominated four incumbents, Lin Bingyu, Weng Zhenzhou, and newcomers Chen Daiyin and Wu Yixuan. Legislator Wu Bingrui announced on the 23rd that the four people will launch a joint campaign and adopt a joint allocation of votes. Supporters will be asked to vote equally according to the lottery numbers of the four people in the order of "spring, summer, autumn, and winter," throwing a shock bomb to the Xinzhuang district election.

On the 23rd, Su Qiaohui, the mayoral candidate of the Democratic Progressive Party, combined with the four parliamentary candidates nominated by Xinzhuang District, Chen Daiyin, Wu Yixuan, Lin Bingyou and Weng Zhenzhou, and took the oath at Zhonggang Dapai Square. They then went to Xinzhuang Hongtai Market to sweep the streets to solicit votes and promote the inauguration meeting of the Beixinzhuang campaign headquarters on October 9.

Wu Bingrui said that the Beixinzhuang campaign headquarters is the first joint campaign headquarters of the Democratic Progressive Party in New Taipei City. The DPP will adopt joint campaigns and joint vote allocation in Xinzhuang District, striving to win the election of Su Qiaohui as mayor and four-seat member of the Xinzhuang Council. He thanked the two current council members for their broad-mindedness and willingness to cooperate with the joint vote allocation, hoping to show the unity of the DPP.

People in the green camp pointed out that the Xinzhuang District Councilor election was fiercely competitive, and the DPP weighed in and decided to adopt a joint vote allocation approach. Although everyone has different opinions on the joint vote allocation, the number of votes obtained by the district legislator Wu Bingrui in the local area in previous terms was evenly divided among the 4 council candidates, which is enough to be elected. For the mayor candidate Su Qiaohui, on the existing basis, there is a better chance of attracting the middle vote and gaining more support.
