Public Defender's Office of Bahia offers free legal assistance in Castro Alves and Conceição do Almeida

Residents of Castro Alves and Conceição do Almeida will be able to have free access to services such as alimony, consensual divorce and custody and visitation regulations, in addition to legal guidance for other demands. Services will be offered by the Bahia Public Defender's Office (DPE/BA), on September 9th and 10th, from 9am to 4pm.

Services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, through the Mobile Service Unit (UMA), without the need for an appointment.

The population will also be able to request free DNA tests for investigation and recognition of paternity, aimed at people who do not have their father's name on their birth record.

To be assisted, it is necessary to present personal documents, such as ID, CPF and proof of residence, in addition to documents related to the case that will be presented to the Defender's Office team.

Among the services offered are:

alimony;

consensual divorce;

custody and visitation regulations;

rectification of civil records;

demands related to health and consumer protection, among others.
