THE CHILD WHO FALLED INTO THE STREAM DIED

According to the news of DHA, Cihan Basatemir (10), who fell into the stream in Dörtyol district of the city, died in the hospital where he was taken.

The incident took place at noon in Özerli District. Cihan Basatemir, a 3rd grade primary school student, fell into the stream in rainy weather. Realizing the situation, the neighborhood asked for help from 112 Emergency Call Center.

Upon notice, health, fire brigade and police search and rescue teams were dispatched to the region. The teams found the child 1 kilometer away from where he fell and pulled him out of the water unconscious. The child, whose stopped heart was restarted, was taken to Dörtyol State Hospital by ambulance. Basetemir, who was taken into treatment, could not be saved. Cihan Basatemir's body was taken to the morgue for autopsy.
