Two fatal accidents occur in the south of Minas Gerais at the weekend

According to the Military Police, the vehicle was occupied by two individuals, aged 26 and 39. The eldest died at the scene.

A 39-year-old man died this Sunday (27) after a car fell from a bridge in Borda da Mata (MG). Another had minor injuries.

The injured 26-year-old received treatment in Pouso Alegre (MG) and was released. The causes of the accident will be investigated.

In another accident this Saturday (26), a 37-year-old motorcyclist died in Delfim Moreira (MG). His father also fell.

One person died and another was injured after a car fell from a bridge over the Mandu River, in Borda da Mata (MG), this Sunday morning (27).

According to the Military Police, the vehicle was occupied by two men, aged 26 and 39. The eldest died at the scene.

The other occupant of the car suffered minor injuries, was rescued and taken to Samuel Libânio Hospital, in Pouso Alegre, underwent medical treatment and was released.

The identities of the victims have not been released. The causes of the accident will be investigated.

Another accident

At least one more person died in traffic accidents in the south of Minas Gerais this weekend.

On Saturday afternoon (26), a 37-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident at AMG-1915, in Delfim Moreira (MG).

According to the Military Highway Police, the victim was a resident of Lorena (SP) and was heading towards the state of São Paulo when he lost control of the steering wheel on a curve, went the wrong way and hit the side of a car coming in the opposite direction.

With the impact, the motorcyclist fell onto the road and was run over by another vehicle that was unable to avoid. He died at the scene.

The motorcyclist's father, who was riding another motorcycle, also suffered a fall. He was rescued and taken to the Hospital de Clínicas de Itajubá by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) with bruises and in a state of shock.

The drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident underwent a breathalyzer test, which was negative for the presence of alcohol in their blood.
