The head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty accused Brussels of planning a mass summons of Russian ambassadors

A massive summons of Russian ambassadors to the foreign ministries of the European Union (EU) may be a planned action by Brussels to escalate relations with Moscow. This is how the head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, Ralf Niemeyer, explained this action at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2026), his words are reported by RIA Novosti.

“I think Brussels came up with this. (Head of the European Commission Ursula - note from Lenta.ru) von der Leyen personally wants escalation, and so does (head of European diplomacy Kaya) Kallas,” said the German politician.

Niemeyer considers such a step by the EU leadership inadequate. He stressed that Brussels, Berlin and Warsaw need to come to their senses and stop these games.
