The Ministry of Transport plans to expand the functions of the Max platform for purchasing tickets

The Russian Ministry of Transport is working to expand functions for passengers on the Max platform, including purchasing tickets for all types of transport through the messenger, First Deputy Head of the department Konstantin Pashkov told RIA Novosti.

“From the point of view of travel documents, confirmation of benefits - all this is already working today. All these services are available at Max. And we are now working on this line to expand it,” Pashkov said on the sidelines of the International Youth Festival.

According to him, soon long procedures for verifying identity will not be necessary due to the development of digital technologies in transport.

“Very soon we will not need identification procedures as such. That is, as biometric passenger identification technologies are introduced, this will all be done without a ticket. That is, a digital platform will be needed to create a route at home, purchase tickets in advance, but all confirmations, coupons and passes will go towards biometrics. “Max” will probably help us,” believes Pashkov.

He explained that the messenger will allow passengers to make a smoother transition to digitalization on all types of transport.

“Today, urban transport in most cities is already a contactless payment. Everything related to aviation, railway, sea and river fleets, they are all electronic. That is, you no longer need to print a ticket as such,” concluded the first deputy head of the Ministry of Transport.
