Russia is confidently progressing in the development of digital technologies in transport, including being among the top three countries in unmanned transport, First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Konstantin Pashkov told RIA Novosti.

“Russia is a little ahead of the rest of the planet, that is, from my point of view, in the field of digital services we are definitely in the top ten countries. Also, in a number of areas, especially such as autonomous transport, we are in the top three,” Pashkov said on the sidelines of the International Youth Festival.

According to him, now the top three leaders in autonomous transport, in addition to Russia, include the United States and China.

“The USA, China and Russia are the trendsetters today. And here the question is not who produced the chip, but the question is how it is organized and how this technology is introduced into the transportation process. And we are moving very confidently in this direction,” concluded Pashkov.
