Suicide of Retired Policeman Ali Şekeroğlu and Criticisms Against the AKP Government

On one side, those who took billions in fund robbery, and on the other side, citizens who killed themselves because they couldn't make ends meet!

While Muhammed Yarız, who was a board member of AKP Istanbul Youth Branch and one of those involved in the scandal in the stock market, became portfolio manager at the age of 28 and bought a yacht worth 750 million liras, 60-year-old retired police officer Ali Şekeroğlu shot himself. He participated in the demonstration organized in front of the Constitutional Court (AYM) in Ankara to express the demands of retirees regarding the wage increase and living conditions and shot himself with a gun.

Şekeroğlu, does anyone know how many working citizens took their own lives due to economic difficulties during the AKP period?

In the same week, it was reported that five police officers and police retirees took their lives in a short time, two in Ankara and one each in Şırnak, Tekirdağ and Kocaeli.

The pirate taxi driver, who was prosecuted in the traffic enforcement in Esenyurt just ten days ago, committed suicide after opening fire on the police team. The pirate taxi driver who opened fire was a retired superintendent, he opened fire on the police who wrote the ticket. Both of them lost their lives. If that superintendent could live on his pension, would he be a pirate taxi driver?!

DEEP IMORALITY GOVERNING SOCIETY

It is the AKP government that has been making retirees suffer for years, condemning them to death, destroying their dignity, leaving them helpless, dehumanizing them and violating all their values!

It is the AKP government that makes millions of our citizens needy in the last period of their lives with raises such as charity, which melt away with inflation as soon as they are given!

Retirees, who are deprived of an income to survive on their own, let alone experiencing even the smallest happiness such as giving pocket money to their grandchildren during holidays, are forced to look for a second job in their later years. While those who could find work considered themselves lucky, those whose health did not allow it were completely cast aside.

Retirees were forced to take shelter in cheap hostels that did not even have toilets because they could not pay rent in this country with the lowest monthly salary above the hunger line!

This oppression inflicted on retirees and workers is a deep IMMORALITY that is rapidly eating away at society from within!

THE GOVERNMENT THAT BANKRUPT THE SOCIAL STATE!

If you look at the constitution, the Republic of Türkiye is a social state. Article 2 is as follows: "The Republic of Turkey is a democratic, secular and social state of law, within the understanding of social peace, national solidarity and justice, respecting human rights, adhering to Atatürk's nationalism, and based on the basic views stated in the beginning."

Accordingly, the government should aim to provide its citizens with a minimum standard of living worthy of human dignity and to increase social welfare and justice through income distribution.

However, the AKP government completely invalidated the second article of the constitution.

There is no trace of peace and human rights left in society.

The politicized judiciary has come to distribute injustice.

Ataturk's nationalism, based on the unity of culture, language and ideals, was thrown aside; Ummah based on the unity of race, ethnicity and religion began to be spoken of.

The half-existing democracy was completely shelved and a totalitarian regime was established, but the bottom of the disinformation is being said that a "Democratic Republic" will be established with a new constitution in cooperation with imperialism.

Secularism has already been crushed by both the government and the opposition.

While public bridges and roads were sold and billions were siphoned off from the stock market, the social state was also bankrupted!

NOT A JOURNALIST, BUT A MEDIA CLOWN

While the situation is so clear, there are some journalists who go to the United Nations meeting in New York and make jokes by praising Erdoğan as a "world leader".

While a police officer died in front of the Constitutional Court during his retirement protest, there are clowns with the title of journalist who did not report on this terrible event and concealed the facts. There are disgraceful media managers who prioritize the government's interests over the public's interests.

It is called suicide, but what actually happened is murder.
