ePass clarifies the monthly transaction processing fee regulations

ePass said the fee of 6,600 VND per month only applies to Viettel Money linked accounts with transactions through the station in the previous month, not calculated according to the number of registered vehicles.

From August, individual customers using VETC wallets and Viettel Money wallets linked to ePass must pay 6,600 VND per month, equivalent to 79,200 VND per year. For businesses, this fee is 66,000 VND.

Notably, ePass confirms that the transaction processing fee only applies to accounts that have had vehicle transactions through the station in the previous month. If the vehicle does not pass the station during the month, the customer will not be charged this fee during the payment period.

According to ePass, the fee is 6,600 VND per month for individual customers and 66,000 VND for businesses. Fees are calculated by account, not by number of vehicles registered. One account can manage multiple vehicles without the fee automatically increasing according to the number of vehicles.

For example, if an account manages three vehicles but none pass through the station during the month, the customer does not incur transaction processing fees in the next billing period. On the contrary, when the account has a transaction through the station, the fee is applied according to the corresponding fee schedule, regardless of the number of vehicles registered on the account.

In addition to Viettel Money, ePass allows customers to choose other payment methods with their own fee schedule. Linking ePass with MoMo Wallet incurs a fee of 1% of the value of each transaction, minimum 1,100 VND, Visa or Mastercard card incurs a fee of 2,200 VND plus 1,902% of the transaction value, minimum 3,000 VND, linking a bank account for automatic debt deduction has a fee of 1,000-3,000 VND per transaction.
