Stabbed by her ex in Sumaré records video in hospital and is grateful for having survived: 'I have a lot to live for'

Housewife Elisangela Gonçalves, 51, stabbed by her ex-partner in Sumaré (SP), published a video on social media in which she is grateful for having survived and for the prayers she received. The crime took place on Monday (2) and she remains hospitalized this Wednesday (4).

The attacker is Wesley Antonio da Silva, 47 years old, who was placed in preventive detention by the courts and also remains hospitalized under police escort. In addition to attacking Elisangela, he also stabbed his 18-year-old stepson and 11-year-old daughter.

"Continue praying for my recovery. God is wonderful and he didn't let this end the cycle of my life. On this earth I have children to raise, I have a lot to live for, to make my wonderful father proud", says the woman. According to her, no vital organs were hit in the attack.

Elisangela's eldest son, Lourran Gonçalves Ferreira, who was not in the house at the time of the crime, revealed that his mother's cell phone contained a history of death threats sent by Wesley, who did not accept the end of the relationship.

According to the boy, the attacker had already told several people that he would kill his wife and even had a firearm some time ago. "He said he was going to shoot my mother [...] If he had had that gun that day, he would have killed everyone," said the young man.

"They talked a little and, on his cell phone, he sent a lot of messages. There were a lot of messages. I took my mother's cell phone and it was threat after threat. He said that my mother won't be with anyone else. He told a lot of people that he was going to kill my mother."

The family reports living in constant fear that the attacker will be able to leave prison in the future. Faced with insecurity, Elisangela decided that she does not want to return to live there and plans to sell the residence. "My mother doesn't want to go back home. She's already trying to find a way to sell this house."

"He just wanted to destroy our family. If he leaves, he'll come here and kill my mother. Protective measures don't hold a man back, they don't. He can find a way, come at dawn."

The case was on Rua Ismael Garbelin. After hitting Elisangela, her stepson and her daughter, Wesley also injured himself in the neck. The 18-year-old managed to escape from the house injured and ran about 600 meters in search of help. The Fire Department was called at 4:45 am.

The author and his ex-partner were rescued in serious condition and taken to the Sumaré State Hospital. The stepson and daughter suffered minor injuries, were taken to the Macarenko Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and have already been discharged.

The investigation was carried out, and four knives were seized. The case was registered as domestic violence, attempted feminicide and attempted qualified homicide.
