An investigation was launched against Etimesgut Deputy Mayor Taylan Özgüven upon a report that he was using drugs.

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Özgüven was arrested under Article 191/1 of the Turkish Penal Code. He was referred to Ankara Forensic Medicine Branch Directorate in accordance with the article. Blood, hair, urine and nail samples were taken from Özgüven.

TWO ITEMS WERE DETECTED

In the Forensic Medicine report, it was stated that synthetic cannabinoid types 5F-ADB and MDMB-INACA were detected in Özgüven's hair sample.

ERDAL BEŞİKÇİOĞLU'S TEST WAS ALSO POSITIVE

In the investigation against Etimesgut Municipality, it was revealed that Erdal Beşikçioğlu and deputy mayor Mutlu Kerimoğlu were using drugs. Upon the notice about Beşikçioğlu and Kerimoğlu, blood, urine, hair and saliva samples were taken.

In the forensic medicine examination, THC-COOH, the metabolite of the active ingredient of marijuana, THC, was detected in Beşikçioğlu's blood and urine samples. It was reported that Beşikçioğlu's drug test was positive.

Following the test result, Beşikçioğlu's statement to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in 2014 was brought to the agenda again. At that time, Beşikçioğlu said, "I have never bought drugs in my life. I occasionally used marijuana because it was offered to me and I could not break it. I am not addicted."
