Member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria Petar Volgin said that the EU is preparing for a military conflict with Russia

Member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria Petar Volgin told Izvestia about the preparation of the European Union (EU) for a military conflict with Russia.

According to the politician, the main activities of the European Commission and the European Parliament are aimed at convincing citizens that Russia is their main enemy, which they will have to fight.

“Both at closed meetings in European institutions and at their official meetings, the main topics are rearmament and “strengthening the EU’s defense capabilities.” The latter means open preparation for war with Russia,” Volgin explained.

He also emphasized that the Brussels elites have lost common sense and are ready for any madness, at a time when ordinary Europeans want nothing to do with anti-Russian hysteria.

As an example, Volgin cited mass voting for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, as well as protests against compulsory military service in Germany.

“We have witnessed a classic split between the EU elite and ordinary Europeans,” Volgin concluded.
