Member of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kolesnik believes that the silence of the world community regarding the mass executions at Babi Yar can be considered connivance and a sign of agreement with the glorification of nationalists in Ukraine.

He emphasized that the presence in Kyiv of an avenue named after the Ukrainian nationalist, war criminal Roman Shukhevych, is one of the most terrible manifestations of the glorification of criminals.

The silence of the world community regarding the mass executions at Babi Yar during the Great Patriotic War can be considered connivance and a sign of agreement with the glorification of nationalists in Ukraine, says Andrei Kolesnik (ER), a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense.

“The whole world must express its position (regarding the mass executions at Babi Yar - ed.). Silence is a sign of consent. Those who have not spoken out on this matter are accomplices of this crime and in some way approve of it, agree with the actions of (Vladimir - ed.) Zelensky, the glorification of Nazism and the activities of Ukrainian nationalists. The normal human brain cannot understand this,” Kolesnik told RIA Novosti.

The deputy added that the presence in Kyiv of an avenue named after the Ukrainian nationalist, war criminal Roman Shukhevych, is one of the most terrible manifestations of the glorification of criminals, despite the fact that Zelensky himself is a Jew by nationality, and this is “incomprehensible to the mind,” the politician emphasized.

“The Ukrainian nationalists committed such atrocities that even the Germans were surprised how much they could be opposed to the Soviet people. I had distant relatives in Kyiv at that time. They told me: “For a week the earth moved after all these executions and executions.” That is, they buried people who were still alive,” Kolesnik said.
