Fenerbahçe Sports Club Ordinary Financial General Assembly Meeting was held at Ülker Sports and Event Hall. Fenerbahçe Board Member Nihat Özbağı made a presentation regarding the 13th item on the agenda, 'Informing about the project regarding the increase of spectator capacity at Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex'. Özbağı said, "In 1998, under the chairmanship of Aziz Yıldırım, we demolished our stadium step by step and built it while we were playing our matches. We both played our matches and built our stadium. By the way, we won two championships while the construction was being carried out. We realized all its financing with the support of the great Fenerbahçe fans. Our stadium revenues increased a lot. Other clubs were jealous of our stadium and they built their stadiums by taking them as an example. Of course, not with their own means like us."
An animated film about the project to be carried out in the stadium was shown to the participants. Explaining the details of the project, Özbağı said, "Our project is envisaged to lift the roof system 6 meters with special jacks and place it on the additional towers that have been built before. Additional tribunes, whose steels have been prepared before, will be built behind the goal in the gaps created by the elevation of the roof. These tribunes will not be connected to the existing stadium. Likewise, some additions will be made to the Fenerium and Marathon tribunes. In this way, the capacity will be increased and we will bring all the tribunes to the same level. While the roof is being lifted, The matches will not be played. This will not be a problem as it is at the end of the season. In addition, we will build 8 large lodges in the towers to be upgraded. I would like to state that I will cover the costs of these projects without any burden on Fenerbahçe. I hope that we will receive the permit and approval phase of our project in a short time. I would like to express my gratitude to our President. "We built it for 52 thousand people. According to UEFA rules, it has decreased to 48 thousand people. Now it will be the biggest stadium in Turkey on a club basis."

Nihat Özbağı underlined that tribune manufacturing will start as of July and said, "The increase in our spectator capacity will be 16 thousand, including 9 thousand 680 behind the goal, 2 thousand 800 in Fenerium, 2 thousand 800 in Marathon, 520 in the lodges behind the goal, and 200 in the corner lodges. Since our ground is weak, we will carry out pile and ground reinforcement work. We also want to order steel manufacturing. Steel manufacturing." "It will take 6 months. Then the installation will begin in June and July. The tribune manufacturing will start in July, followed by the facade cladding. We aim to complete the entire project in November 2027 after the facade cladding is completed."
Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex capacity increase will cost a total of 50 million euros. Budget distribution under 5 main headings is as follows:
Steel structure works: 23 million euros
Construction and tribune works: 10 million 700 thousand euros
Facade and roof works: 8 million 450 thousand euros
Mechanical and electrical installation: 2 million 600 thousand euros
Project management, general expenses: 5 million 250 thousand euros
