With the decision taken on September 17, the Capital Markets Board closed the funds of 7 portfolio management companies traded in TEFAS for trading and took a total of 131 investment funds into liquidation process.
During the same period, CMB filed a criminal complaint against 38 people for allegedly manipulative transactions in some company shares and decided to ban these people from trading.
The investigation expanded on September 22. In simultaneous operations held in Istanbul and Aydın, 14 of the 15 suspects for whom an arrest warrant was issued were caught and detained.
