107 thousand 200 synthetic drugs were seized in Kırıkkale: 6 arrests

Within the scope of the investigation carried out under the coordination of Kırıkkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was organized upon information that drugs would be shipped from Ankara to surrounding provinces. While 107 thousand 200 synthetic pharmaceutical pills were seized during the operation, 6 suspects were arrested.

Kırıkkale Provincial Police Department teams received information that on September 22, 2026, suspects named Semih Baki Koçak, Sedat Osman Dinç, Sefa Şahin, Güler Özbulat, Berkay Coşgun and Sezgin Bal would act as pioneers and rearguards with two vehicles and transport drugs from Ankara to surrounding provinces.

During the follow-up operations, the suspects' vehicles were tried to be stopped within the borders of Kırıkkale. However, the suspects fled with their vehicles towards Ankara's Kalecik district. As a result of the teams' pursuit, the vehicles were caught in Kalecik.

In line with the search and seizure decision issued by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a total of 107 thousand 200 synthetic pharmaceutical pills were seized during the searches made in two vehicles.

The 6 suspects who were detained were transferred to the Kırıkkale 2nd Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest on the charge of "Manufacturing and Trading in Drugs or Stimulating Substances" after their statements were taken at the Kırıkkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following their procedures at the police station.

All of the suspects were arrested after their procedures at the judge's office and sent to the Closed Penal Institution.

It was reported that criminal investigations of the items seized within the scope of the investigation, digital material analysis, examination of camera recordings and efforts to elucidate all aspects of the incident are continuing.
