Cancer Fighters Foundation clarifies allegations regarding Boxing Challenge and Cloud Eleven

The organization also commented on the allegations regarding the Boxing Challenge company. In a statement, the foundation admitted that combining three functions by one person may raise doubts. “Not all of these decisions were good,” it was noted. Cancer Fighters reported that the problem was noticed a year ago and Michalski stopped serving as director of the Cancer Fighters Foundation, and he did not receive remuneration for this position.

"We would also like to make it clear that Jakub Michalski, as the director of the Foundation, never commissioned any tasks to his companies. The decision on the selection of entities with which the Foundation cooperated was made by the Foundation's management board," it was emphasized.

Cancer Fighters also announced that after the "Diss for Cancer" campaign, the Boxing Challenge company will be put into liquidation. "This year, we planned to organize another farewell gala, but we ultimately gave up on this idea," it explained. "Rz" reports that on Tuesday, three more galas were announced on the foundation's website - one in Gorzów and two in Warsaw.

The Foundation notes that thanks to the galas, nearly PLN 5 million was collected over the course of five years.

Grant program

Cancer Fighters announced that the recruitment of applications for a grant program for other small organizations supporting oncology will start on October 1. PLN 2 million will be allocated for this purpose.
