g1 promotes debate with Senate candidates for the Federal District this Friday

This Friday (11), g1 is promoting a debate with candidates for the Senate from the Federal District.

The meeting will be at the TV Globo studios in Brasília, at 1 pm, mediated by journalist Antônio de Castro.

The debate is part of a series carried out by g1 with the names vying for the position of senator in eight states and the DF (see below).

The initiative seeks to expand the space for discussing proposals and help voters get to know the competitors. In October, voters will be able to vote on two names for the Senate.

Who will participate?

g1 invited candidates from parties and federations with a minimum representation of five parliamentarians in the National Congress or who reached at least 5% of voting intentions in the latest Quaest or Datafolha survey released before each debate.

The following candidates confirmed their presence:

Erika Kokay (PT)

Guto Felicio dos Santos (PSDB)

Marley (Avante)

Ronaldo Fonseca (PSD)

Candidates Bia Kicis (PL), Leila do Vôlei (PDT) and Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) were also invited, following the rules for holding the debate, but informed that they will not participate (see full list of candidates for Senate in DF).

What is the format of the debate?

The meetings will aim to deepen the candidates' proposals and prioritize topics of interest to the population.

Participants will be positioned at a round table next to the mediator and will have 15 minutes of speaking time to manage throughout the discussion.

Six themes will be defined in advance and communicated to the campaigns before the debate. The order of subjects will be drawn before the start of the meeting.

Candidates will be able to request the floor within the established rules, with interventions of up to 1 minute and 30 seconds at a time.

Consecutive interventions by the same candidate will not be permitted, as they will only be able to speak again after another participant has spoken.

At the end, everyone will have the right to one minute for final considerations.

Requests for the right to reply will be analyzed by the production team and the mediator and may be granted in cases of personal offense, according to the rules previously agreed with the campaigns.
